Hi ! I 'm Naz
I am Naz, the founder of Sona. For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to the world of art and design. Though I was offered a place to study fashion after high school, my path took a different turn. Coming from humble beginnings, my priority was the financial well-being of my parents. I stepped into the corporate world, found my rhythm, moved to the UK, and was fortunate to work for some of the world’s leading technology companies.
Yet, despite the success, a piece of me remained untouched.
In 2024, I finally embraced my calling as an entrepreneur. What began as a nail studio in a spare bedroom grew—through the incredible loyalty of my customers—into a thriving creative space. Sona is the next evolution of that journey. It is the bridge between my obsession with uncompromising quality and my lifelong love for fabrics and design.
Sona represents the very best of me.
Why Sona?
Sona means Gold in Hindi. A symbol of opulence and purity. In my journey from the corporate world to a small spare-bedroom studio, and now to this fashion label, I have never settled for 'good enough.' Sona represents the golden standard of quality I promise to my customers— precious, enduring, and refined."
A part of the name also refers to gold being timeless. In an uncertain world, gold remains the standard that can be relied upon. In the same way, I believe great garments are timeless.
The final reason is little more personal....Among the many names I call my husband, one of them is Sona! I tend to use it like, "Sona, where is that tea I asked for?"
